A little over a decade, in the winter months, our Club holds a yearly tournament of "Briskula and Treseta". This is a game of card playing, which originated from our grandfathers and great-grandfathers, and is very popular in our Club. That is why the outcome of players gets bigger and stronger each season. About fifty players usually register, which is 25 pairs that are randomly placed into four groups. Each group plays by point system, so two pairs with the most points from each group go further into quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals, the winners of each group play against another group who are in second place position. The winners then go further into semifinals, and the defeated are eliminated. Four pairs in the semifinals play for the entry into the finals, which takes place towards the very end of the tournament. The "Briskula and Treseta" tournament lasts 30 days, it is played each Friday, and ends with a ceremonial dinner for all the participating contestants. After a splendid dinner in Rudar Club and distribution of awards for the winners, with singing and music playing long into the night, ends another season of friendship and gathering for our card players.
