In the early days of Rudar, our club did not have an in service restaurant. The restaurant opened its doors to our loyal customers once we bought the building at this particular location. In the beginning, meals were only prepared for our soccer players, gathering and feasting after each game. Meals were prepared by wives and mothers of our members and players, without any professional cooks. With time and by request of our growing members and our guests and friends of the club, we hire professional cooks and waiters, at which point the clubs opens its restaurant for business. By our guests suited needs and particular wishes, we form a specific and unique cuisine. Due to most of our customers being from the Istrian peninsula, Dalmatian coast and surrounding islands, our menu consists of mostly Istrian specialties (fuzi, gnoki, tripice, polenta and other specialties such as, how should we say it, humble, homemade food). For our Dalmatian and islander customers, who have been influenced by Mediterranean cuisine, we have a large selection of fish, as you can see from our menu, prepared in many different styles.

During Christmas and Easter holydays, our chef prepares a very delicious Istrian white cod (bakalar), as well as cod (bakalar) with potatoes and garlic for the islander and Dalmatian customers. For those who are not seafood lovers, we have a large selection of meat specialties, from the grill, roasted and with various sauces.

On our menu, you can see all that we have to offer. We have daily and regular entrées; you will also notice specialties which we are able to prepare. As a matter of fact, every day we have some sort of specialties. If you want to know our daily specialties ahead of time, feel free to call and ask us. If you have a group over 20 people, and would like order something which is not on our menu, fee free to talk to our great chef, she will oblige everyone’s wishes.

The restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday for dinner. Tuesday to Friday, we are open for lunch as well. The club is closed on Mondays and national holidays.

For special occasions (Christenings, anniversaries, shower parties, birthdays, graduations, business Christmas party) or any other gathering, we are able to accommodate up to 100 people. Our waitresses will be more than happy to assist you with your party accommodations.

Even though our customers are far away from Croatia, there is a place which brings them back, where they can eat and experience the same quality of cooking their mothers and grandmothers prepared back home. Our exclusive cuisine and friendly atmosphere, and Istrian tradition are what bring our customers back. If you have not visited us yet, what are you waiting for?

Prilikom formiranja restorana (samog rada i organizacije, kao i stvaranja jelovnika) veliku ulogu je odigrao Josip Pino Cernjul, koji ima poznati restoran na Manhattanu,"Rossinni", U tome mu je svesrdno pomagala ondasnja kuharica (sefica), Jasna Pusec, koja je bila sa nama osam godina, prije nego se vratila svojoj obitelji u Labin. Danasnje kuharice, Pjerina Fonovic i Marijana Zunic nastavljaju njihovim stopama, te nam je kuhinja (hrana) sve bolja I bolja. U to se mozetei sami uvjerit, ako vas put kojim slucajem dovede u nasu sredinu. Kad stupite u restoran naici cete na nase uvijek vedre i nasmijane konobarice, Tina Orlic i Loredana Blaskovic, koje vam svojim savjetom mogu pomoci prilikom odabiranja hrane za taj odredeni dan, ili ako zelite organizirat kakvu zabavu ili slavicu. Iza bara uvijek cete naici na raspolozenog i uvijek spremnog za bilo kakvu pomoc i savjet, Gverina Viskovica.
